2009-10  Membership

Welcome to the Mira Costa High School Aquatics Season. By now you are all aware of the challenges our programs are facing this year.  While we are exceedingly grateful for your support of our programs via the Athletic foundation fees, the success of our programs depends on your continued support of our booster's organization through your membership. 

The Mustang Aquatics Boosters Club at Mira Costa supports both the boys and girl's water polo and swimming programs annually. Historically, The Booster Club has funded many things that contribute to the success of the programs, such as:  swim meet and water polo tournament fees, fees for officials, players awards, equipment, and facility improvements and (3) Assistant Coaches.  It is our understanding that some of these costs will be absorbed by the Manhattan Beach Athletic Foundation (head coaches, safety equipment, the sports trainer, & and transportation) but at this time we do not know exactly what will be covered and how these fees will be disbursed across the 25 sports they are supporting.  In order to keep our programs vital and competitive - we need to assume that the Mustang Aquatics Boosters need to offset any costs that the athletic foundation does not cover.  (Note - the summer conditioning (Costa Club) programs are separate programs not covered by the Aquatics Boosters budget to avoid conflicts with CIF Rules and Regulations)

Because of the current budget crisis within our state and the Manhattan Beach Unified School District, your support of the Aquatics Booster Club is essential to a successful aquatics (water polo and swimming) program.  The Mira Costa water polo players and swimmers are among the best-conditioned and most dedicated athletes on our campus!  Our coaches put in countless early morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours. Please support them in their commitment by joining the Mustang Aquatics Booster Club.

While our by-laws state that a Mustang Aquatics Boosters Family Membership is $100 per school year, any donation is appreciated!!!  If your son or daughter is planning on participating in swimming in the spring season, you will not be asked for an additional Aquatics Booster Club donation then, as the contribution you make now, will cover the entire 2009-10 school year for both water polo and swimming.

Last year the majority of our water polo and swim families joined the Booster Club.  Please help us make it 100% this year!  Please support your student athlete by joining the Boosters and getting involved with our volunteer activities!  It will help you to become more informed about the sport your son has chosen, and it will give you an opportunity to get to know some of the players and their parents, that share an interest in these exciting sports. 

Please be sure to complete the Mustang Aquatics Boosters 2009-10 Membership Form and return with your other program forms by the required date.
